This is underscored in our commitment to maintain an AS9100 quality management system that meets stringent aerospace, space and defense standards and the requirements of our customers and their end-users.

Since 19858, Di-El Tool & Manufacturing, Inc. has been providing precision stamping, assembly and other manufacturing processes.  Our specialty is short-runs (of 1 to 25,000 pieces) and prototypes, fabricated using a variety of materials including stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and assorted nickel-based alloys.

Our products include stand-alone parts and component parts engineered to meet customer specifications. Di-El Tool’s ability to translate customer requirements into parts holding extremely tight tolerances (both U.S. standard and metric) is unsurpassed in the industry. Our 7500 Sq. Ft, facility allows us to maintain redundant machines for repeat orders and to assure uninterrupted product flow to meet stringent OTD requirements. 

Di-El Tool’s prestigious customer base attests to our level of commitment to quality and drives our continued growth, improvement and overall success. A partial list of our customers and end-users includes: AeroCision, BOEING/KLX, GE Aerospace, DERCO – A Lockheed Martin Company, HARCO, Honeywell, Horst, Hubbell, Raytheon-United Technologies (Collins/Hamilton Sundstrand, etc.), Rolls Royce Aerospace, UNISON Industries, etc. 

This Quality Manual documents the standards for the company’s AS9100D based Quality Management System (QMS) and is used at all levels of Di-El to improve quality, cost and delivery performance.

This is a stand-alone document. A revision to this document can be made without necessitating a revision of the Quality Manual.  While a page in this manual, this document is subject to the same controls as the manual. Should this document be printed or removed for display or other use outside of this manual, it will be uncontrolled unless otherwise indicated.

2.0 SCOPE OF THE QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Di-El Tool & Manufacturing, Inc. is involved in the contract manufacturing of metal parts, stampings, deep drawn and machined parts to meet customer requirements and expectations. Our tooling department fabricates tooling necessary to make precision parts. Outside services are contracted as needed, to provide additional operations necessary to meet customer requirements and expectations

The scope of the QMS as reflected in our AS9100 accreditation is:

The scope of our quality management system applies to our facility located at 69 Research Pkwy., Meriden, CT 06450, and includes all activities performed at this location (see below for processes not captured in our scope); internal documentation
determined by Di-El Tool as necessary to meet customer requirements and to conform to the requirements of the International Standards (AS9100/ISO 9001) and any applicable statutory and regulatory requirements; any external documentation deemed necessary to meet such requirements (including customer specifications); all internal and external operations performed in the
fabrication of customer parts (including inspections) and any processes implemented to ensure control of related processes, including administration of the quality system, planning, training, management review, resource management, monitoring and (where applicable) measurement of these processes (including, internal and external audits).
